Waltz across Texas - don't forget your insoles!
Oh, my dogs are tired! The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is in town and it's a mighty big place. We wandered past the art show in the Reliant center, down by the Bandera, Texas booth. Chatted a while with them about the Dude Ranches in that part of Texas. The OST resturant in Bandera is the best place to get cheese enchaladas. The only way I could stand to walk as much as I did was because of the Spenco Cross Trainer Insoles I got from http://www.txinsoles.com I was using their total support insoles but since I sprained my ankle my arch seems to not need so much support. After walking around the fairgrounds we "moseed" into the stadium to watch Keith Urban. Great show. I don't know what kind of insoles he had in his boots but he sure did lots of boot scootin'. See y'all around the corral.

Why do we need insoles?
You need insoles for several reasons. When feet hurt, walkers seek relief. The first step is to get the right shoes, but the insoles that come with athletic shoe generally do not provide shock absorbtion or arch support. So, the answer to pain may be a step further - to insoles, arch supports, and orthotics. Remove the insole that came with the shoe to replace it with the chosen insole. One of the first methods walkers try to alleviate foot pain is to use insoles. Almost anyone can benefit from footbeds even someone with a very average, problem-free foot will see a boost in comfort with a quality footbed. For instance, if your arch is high, a footbed can prevent it from elongating or collapsing with each step. Anything that cuts down on movement inside the boot means fewer blisters and a higher comfort level.
Conditions that may benefit from shoe inserts
- Arch strain and pain
- Heel pain
- Ball of foot pain (metatarsalgia)
- Weak ankles
- Crooked toes and corns
- Calluses
- Knee pain
- Back pain
- Neck pain
- Overpronation
- Shin splints
- Plantar fasciitis

March on Washington
Today is Martin Luther King Day. Washington is buzzing. Mr. Obama will become President Obama tomorrow. I bet a Spenco insole vender could find plenty of buyers there but I am here in Texas. The getting around the capitol is orderly but very busy - intersections are packed and many streets are closed. Walking, walking, walking. Standing room only for the swearing in cerimonies. Oh, I know you wish you had some new insoles from Txinsoles.com!

This is going to be an interesting run
I've got my present wrapped and it's ready for you to open. Yes, I've worked hard for the grand opening; lots of planning. Last Thursday www.txinsoles.com was opened but, sadly, no one came. It seems so simple, this e-commerce stuff. I've got insoles, lots of insoles. What I don't have is traffic. It is not that easy to take the lead. My plan is to have a Grand Opening Sale, yes, 15% of the Spenco's suggested retail price. I have a great product or rather products. Spenco has been making foot care products for 40 years. They make a Polysorb insole with a one year unconditional guarantee! They don't do that much bragging but if you do the math it takes 6 of the brand carried at WM to the ONE of ours. Next week end is the big Houston Marathon and I'll be ready for the big run.
